The Choral students of McLean High School have opened up a wonderful world of musical performances for you to attend. This year's program includes concerts, dinner theatre, competitions, and recitals by the 9th ranked choir in the nation. Most of this year´s concerts are free of charge for you, your family and your friends.

Located just outside of the Nation's Capital, the McLean High School Choral Department has been fortunate to participate in many unique concerts and venues around the Washington Metropolitan area.  They have sung at the National Building Museum, the Historic Falls Church, for the judges of the Supreme and Federal Courts, the All Souls Memorial Church workshop on Liturgical Music, The Virginia Music Educators' Conference, and for many local churches, nursing homes, hospitals, and community organizations.  They have sung with the National Chamber Singers, Masterworks Chorus and Orchestra, and the Choralis of Alexandria.  They have participated in residencies with the Strings of Lafayette and are famous for their thirteenth century garbed, award winning Madrigal group.

The McLean Choral Department has received a national ranking of eleventh in the United States. The Washington Post referred to the singers from McLean as "Lovely..., Inspired...., and Trancendental."  The Department also boasts the first high school level Opera Scenes class on the east coast.  The Department has presented Amahl and the Night Visitors, A Night of Opera Scenes, and Godspell.  In cooperation with the entire Performing Arts Department they have presented Jesus Christ Superstar, Into the Woods, and Les Miserables.  The Department is currently comprised of one hundred and thirty students aged thirteen to eighteen and is supported almost in entirety by the McLean Choral Parents Association and community members.
